I don’t know your examiner
Before your exam, try to get out of more of the professor who you examine. And they focus more in theory or application? For they have known that asking definitions, derivatives, or practical examples? Ask classmates who have already taken the exam. You can also look at the examiner’s research interests and learning style, now that gives clues about what topics would be in.
2. Used office hours
Professors at the University of Stuttgart to hold regular consultation hours. You can also book names via email or by their secretaries. To use these hours to glorify doubts, ask about the exam structure or understand how deeply need to study. These parties show the initiative and help build your confidence. Many students surprised to be open and supportive professors can be when asked for the guidance.
3. Practice to talk
One biggest challenges in the mouth of the weekend is organizing your thoughts quickly and to talk about. And so, not only read notes, speak them out of great things. Practice in front of the mirror, record you or match up with a classmate to mock. The goal is to be comfortable with the key theme as you were teaching them. It also helps you realize if you’re rambling, leaping steps or getting stuck.
4. Create a structure
Having a structure of the mood can cause the answers to the sound rather than confident. Use mental maps, summaries and flashcards to organize your scholarship. Focus on core ideas and how to connect to each other. When you answer the questions, try to follow a simple model to define, explain, give an example to conclude. This helps the searcher to follow your logical and gives you a clear flow.
V. Expect an unexpected
Oral exams often include one or two surprise questions. It doesn’t mean your professor wants to trick you. I just want to see how you think. If you don’t know the answer, not panic. So tell me what you know, explain your account or ask the declaration. Showing your thought process is sometimes better than getting exact right to answer.
